life with his adopted parents was all that keaton knew and as a child was happy enough not asking any sort of questions. he was too busy with trees to be climbed, bikes to be ridden, a seemingly endless font of energy that his parents could not contain. Though, it was not for lack of trying. the young boy's social calendar was full of baseball games and gymnastic lessons, alter serving and sunday mass and circus camp during the summer. it was his fearlessness and boundless energy that got keaton in trouble often at school, more likely to be juggling his books instead of reading them while sitting at his desk.
It was in his teen years that keaton became a bit more resentful of his parent's conservative nature. while he probably would have benefited from ritalin, he found the only way he could stay focused in school was a joint before it. of course, his parents were quite proud when he brought home good grades but besides themselves when inevitably he was caught in the parking lot by one of the teachers while getting ready to begin his day. his attention span without any aid, came only in concentrated bursts, one second all of his attention devoted to the task at hand, and the next wandering off to the next thing that struck his fancy. though keaton was in some ways incredibly intelligent, he graduated barely with marks that wouldn't have any colleges come knocking on his door.
shortly after graduation, and moving in with a couple of friends, keaton got his first tattoo. then his second. he amassed over two dozen his first year and to this day has followed suit with at least a half dozen each year after. while his roommates all attended college, keaton supplemented his portion of the rent doing whatever odd jobs he could find, working in a kitchen in one restaurant, a barback in another, and a fairly steady job as a bike messenger that eventually became his main source of income. it appealed to his wanderer nature to not be found in one place too long, heading off somewhere with the hopes of it being more exciting than the place he had just left out. it wasn't, perhaps, the lawyer or doctor route that his parents had envisioned for him but it was an honest day's work. soon, he was employed by a second company, one in which kept him far busier and paid significantly better.
currently, keaton lives alone in a small studio apartment after his previous living arrangement fell apart, mostly due to the majority of his roommates either graduating or failing out of school along the way. he still currently spends his days between his two jobs thoughhe is saving money to go to culinary school. however, as quickly as he saves money he gets tempted to get a new tattoo. to date, his savings account is looking fairly dismal. still, he is living life on his own accord and that is the thing that makes him happiest.
